Automated picking systems include a wide variety of high-speed fulfillment processes that separate out manual work from the picking process. These include robotic picking systems for building layerized pallets, A-Frame dispensing machines that automatically select and then dispense items into outbound order cartons or totes, or even filling systems, where unique containers are filled with various types of automatically-picked products based upon orders that are electronically married to those containers. Order fill rates can range from several hundred orders an hour per cell, to over 2,500 multi-line orders or more per hour.
